Examples:
- The police arrested a suspect near the scene of the crime.
- There wasn’t enough evidence to prove he was guilty.
- She reported the theft to the police right away.
- The judge gave him a fine instead of a prison sentence.
Remember: «robbery» (using force or threat, often against a person) and «burglary» (breaking into a building to steal, usually without a person present) describe different types of theft — a common distinction in crime vocabulary.
